Data is collected from the eve of the 2024 U.S. Presidential election up to the Reciprocal Tariffs Announcement in 2025.
The index will be updated regularly thereafter, or adjusted in response to significant political and economic events.

Confidence in the immediate trade environment has weakened further since the new tariffs took effect, with the Exporters Confidence Index remaining firmly in pessimistic territory below the 50-point neutral line.
While the most significant drop in sentiment occurred after the initial tariff announcement, this slight continued decline indicates that the reality of the new trade landscape is cementing acautious and challenging near-term outlook for Taiwanese exporters.
